In a traditional community high in the Peruvian Andes, a tender relationship between two teenage boys, Fausto and Chaska, leads to a violent confrontation at the annual Takanakuy Festival.
Ο Gustavo Vokos είναι σκηνοθέτης. Gustavo Vokos is a film director. Through his experience as a graphic designer, art director, and illustrator, he has been able to develop a keen multi-disciplinary eye, something he uses to create an innovative aesthetic concept for each one of his films. Directing for Facebook, GM, Converse, Honda, Skol, Nestle, he has shot both domestic and international campaigns. Many of his creations as a designer and illustrator can be found in reputable blogs and magazines. His works have been put on display in art galleries across the world, such as his exhibition Dirty Land in Oslo, Norway. His creative edge and his constant artistic innovation have received more than twenty world-class awards at Cannes Film Festival, New York Film Festival, El Ojo de Iberoamerica, London Festival, CCSP et al.

Anna lives in a perfect house, but living on the edge of a tornado can be difficult. When she ventures outside, she is forced to face the chaos that she usually hides away from.
Η Μαρία Τομάζου είναι σκηνοθέτρια κινουμένων σχεδίων από την Κύπρο, που ζει και εργάζεται στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο. Το ενδιαφέρον της επικεντρώνεται στη σκηνοθεσία και το animation, ενώ πρόσφατα αποφοίτησε με μεταπτυχιακό στη Σκηνοθεσία Κινουμένων Σχεδίων από την Εθνική Σχολή Κινηματογράφου και Τηλεόρασης του Η.Β.. Η Μαρία ειδικεύεται στην τεχνική stop-motion και επιδιώκει να καταγράφει τα συναισθηματικά ταξίδια των χαρακτήρων της. Την ενδιαφέρει κυρίως η οπτική αφήγηση με περιορισμένο διάλογο. Το έργο της καταπιάνεται με θέματα όπως το σπίτι, η τελειομανία, η προοπτική, και με ερωτήματα που αφορούν την ίδια τη ζωή και την ύπαρξη. Η ταινία της The Tornado Outside προτάθηκε για φοιτητικό βραβείο BAFTA. Όνειρό της είναι να ανοίξει το δικό της στούντιο animation και να συνεχίσει να δημιουργεί ταινίες.
Maria Tomazou is an animation director born in Cyprus, based in the UK. With a passion for filmmaking and animation, she recently graduated from The National Film and Television School studying for an MA in Directing Animation. Maria specialises in stop-motion animation and is interested in capturing her characters' emotional journeys. She is very interested in visual storytelling with limited dialogue, and tackles themes of home, perfectionism, perspective, and questions about life and existence. Her film The Tornado Outside has been nominated for a Student BAFTA. Her dream is to open her own animation studio and keep directing films.

Ο Christian Avilés γεννήθηκε στη Βαρκελώνη το 1997. Είναι σκηνοθέτης, σεναριογράφος και συνθέτης, ενώ κατέχει πτυχίο στον Κινηματογράφο και στα Οπτικοακουστικά Μέσα από το Πανεπιστήμιο Escac, με ειδίκευση στη Σκηνοθεσία. La Herida Luminosa είναι η πτυχιακή του ταινία, και πρώτη του ταινία μικρού μήκους. Πρόκειται για μυθοπλασία, που καταπιάνεται με τα θέματα της εφηβικής πνευματικότητας, της μαγείας και της αυτοκτονίας. Επιλέχθηκε να συμμετάσχει στην Μπερλινάλε το 2023.
Christian Avilés was born in Barcelona, 1997. He is a director, writer and composer. He earned a degree in Cinema and Audiovisual Media in Escac University, specialising in Direction. La Herida Luminosa (Daydreaming so vividly about our Spanish holidays), is his final degree project and his first short film; a fiction in which he delves into themes of teenage spirituality, magic and suicide. Selected at Berlinale 2023.

Ο Laen Sanches είναι Γάλλος σκηνοθέτης και δημιουργός με έδρα το Άμστερνταμ. Με σπουδές στις Εφαρμοσμένες Τέχνες και μεταπτυχιακό στην Παραγωγή και Σκηνοθεσία Κινουμένων Σχεδίων, ο Laen ξεκίνησε τη σταδιοδρομία του ως δημιουργός ειδικών εφέ για τον κινηματογράφο, σε Παρίσι και Λος Άντζελες. Στη συνέχεια, δραστηριοποιήθηκε στον χώρο του branding, της καλλιτεχνικής διεύθυνσης και των κινούμενων γραφικών στην Ευρώπη. Laen Sanches is a French filmmaker and creative based in Amsterdam. With a background in Applied Arts and a postgraduate diploma in producing and directing animated films, Laen began his career in cinema special effects in Paris and L.A. He later ventured into branding, art direction and motion graphics in Europe. Laen's acclaimed work spans commercials and personal projects, freelancing nowadays for global brands and agencies.

Aisling Byrne is a multi-award-winning filmmaker and theatre director from Ireland. Her narrative short debut Headspace was awarded the Academy Qualifying Grand Prix Best Irish Short at the 67th Cork International Film Festival and was selected as a candidate for the European Film Awards, 2023. Her film Misread was awarded the RTE/ Ardán Short Film commission in 2022 and recently premiered at the 35th Galway Film Fleadh. In 2023 she was selected to represent Ireland at the Cinesud/Screen Talent Europe ‘Director’s Village’ in Roermond, Netherlands. She is the Artistic Director of the award-winning inclusive arts organisation Run of the Mill.

Marungka Tjalatjunu follows Yankunytjatjara man Derik Lynch's road trip back to the country for spiritual healing, as memories from his childhood return. A journey from the oppression of white city life in Adelaide, back home to his remote Anangu Community (Aputula) to perform on sacred Inma ground.

Matthew Thorne is a South Australian filmmaker and artist whose work explores the Australian landscape and people through film, photography and re-enactment. His recent docufiction short film, Marungka Tjalatjunu (2023), made with Yankunytjatjara man Derik Lynch, won the Silver Bear Jury prize at Berlinale. Matthew also contributed photography to Nick Cave and The Badseed's album Ghosteen (2019), Justin Kurzel's True History of the Kelly Gang (2019), and Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant. In 2022, Matthew received the Adelaide Film Festival & Samstag Museum of Art Commission.
Ο Derik Lynch είναι μυημένος αβορίγινας (Yankunytjatjara). Derik Lynch is an initiated Yankunytjatjara man. He is a performer, filmmaker and artist who grew up between Alice Springs and remote communities in the Northern Territory and South Australia. He has worked both nationally and internationally in theatre, film and TV. Marungka Tjalatjunu is Derik’s debut as a writer/director for the screen telling part of his own story.
