Shortly before the end of the summer holidays, a country boy spends his savings on his dream of a city hairstyle – with surprising results. A story about bidding farewell to childhood and the poetic end of a summer.
O Lam Can-zhao (1994) είναι σκηνοθέτης με καταγωγή από την Κίνα. Έκανε το σκηνοθετικό του ντεμπούτο σε ηλικία 20 ετών με τη μεγάλου μήκους χαμηλού προϋπολογισμού The Dog, η οποία τον ανέδειξε ως σκηνοθέτη. Lam Can-zhao is a Chinese filmmaker born in 1994. He made his directorial debut at the age of 20 with The Dog, a low-budget feature film that brought him into the spotlight. In 2023, he produced, wrote, and edited the short film A Bright Sunny Day, which was selected for La Cinef at the 76th Cannes Film Festival. In 2024, his short film A Summer's End Poem, which he wrote, directed, produced, and edited, won Best Short Film at the 74th Berlinale Generation Kplus competition.

H Σύλβια Νικολαΐδου, σκηνοθέτρια και εικαστικός, είναι απόφοιτος των προγραμμάτων Berlinale Talents και Sarajevo Talents. Ο Νικόλας Ιορδάνου ασχολήθηκε με την πολεμική φωτογραφία για αρκετά χρόνια και στη συνέχεια επικεντρώθηκε στη σκηνοθεσία ταινιών ντοκιμαντέρ. Δουλεύουν μαζί ως κινηματογραφική ομάδα από το 2012, υπογράφοντας τη σκηνοθεσία και την παραγωγή πολλών ταινιών, οι οποίες έχουν προβληθεί σε φεστιβάλ ανά τον κόσμο. Επιπλέον, έχουν δημιουργήσει σημαντικά έργα για τις Πολιτιστικές Πρωτεύουσες της Ευρώπης Πάφος2017 και Άαρχους2017, και είναι οι ιδρυτές και καλλιτεχνικοί διευθυντές του Διεθνούς Φεστιβάλ Κινηματογράφου Πάφου. Sylvia Nicolaides, a filmmaker and visual artist, is a Berlinale and Sarajevo Talents alumna. Nicolas Iordanou worked as a conflict photographer for several years and then focused on documentary filmmaking. Together, they have been working as a creative duo since 2012 and have directed and produced several films screened at many festivals worldwide. Additionally, they have created major projects for the European Capitals of Culture Pafos2017 and Aarhus2017, and are the founders/directors of the Paphos International Film Festival in Cyprus. In 2022, they received research fellowships from the Japan Foundation and the Institute of Contemporary Arts Kyoto, and travelled to Japan for their newest documentary Requiem in Salt.

Naomi Pacifique is a Swiss-Dutch artist. She graduated from Oxford University with an MΑ in Creative Writing. Her graduation film from London Film School, after a room, was awarded the Pardino d’Argento Swiss Life at the 74th Locarno Film Festival. Across the arts, Naomi’s work engages with intimacy and deep ecology.

Babak Parham was born in 1984 in Iran. He studied Film Directing at the Stockholm University of Dramatic Arts. He has a background in Journalism and Documentary Filmmaking.

Between four walls, two women are waiting. One lets death come and get her. For the other, life finally begins. Based on a recorded conversation, the film simulates their attempt to escape what they can't help but live, as they realise that 'nothing' can sometimes be special.

Director and editor Efrat Berger studied experimental film at the Bezalel Academy of Arts & Design, and later earned a Master's degree in Cultural Studies. Her debut docu-animated short, Nothing Special, premiered at Clermont-Ferrand in 2024. Letter to a Pig (directed by Tal Kantor, 2022), which she edited, has been nominated for the Oscars at the 96th Academy Awards. Efrat is currently developing her next fiction short, La Fosse.

Wisam, a young Palestinian from Dheisheh refugee camp in Bethlehem, longs to escape his guilt and isolation after his brother's death. He spends his days in a state of numbness. When he finds his brother's last tooth, he remembers a promise to toss it into the sea, a place he is not allowed to go.
Ο Saif Hammash είναι Παλαιστίνιος φοιτητής σκηνοθεσίας που ζει στον προσφυγικό καταυλισμό Ντεϊσέχ στη Βηθλεέμ. Κατά τη διάρκεια των σπουδών του, σκηνοθέτησε μία ταινία μικρού μήκους μυθοπλασίας, καθώς και ταινίες ντοκιμαντέρ και πειραματικές, ενώ συμμετείχε σε κινηματογραφικές παραγωγές ως σεναριογράφος, βοηθός σκηνοθέτη, μοντέρ και βοηθός κάμερας. Εργάστηκε ως μοντέρ στο 3ο Φεστιβάλ Κινηματογράφου Παλαιστίνιων Προσφύγων τον Σεπτέμβριο 2022.
Saif Hammash is a Palestinian filmmaking student based in the Dheisha refugee camp in Bethlehem. During his education, he directed one short fiction film and experimental and documentary films and participated in many films as a scriptwriter, assistant director, editor, and camera assistant. He also worked as an editor in the 3rd edition of the Palestinian Refugees Film Festival in September 2022.

Suzan, a cook who earns a living by preparing homemade foods, is visited by a TV crew that interviews victims of war. When the food is served, they will need more imagination than they usually do.
Ο Uygar Erdim γεννήθηκε στη Λευκωσία το 1981. Με πάνω από 15 χρόνια εμπειρία στον χώρο της τηλεοπτικής παραγωγής, έχει εργαστεί σε πολλές ταινίες, ντοκιμαντέρ, μουσικά και πειραματικά βίντεο, από διάφορα πόστα. Το 2016, έχοντας αποφοιτήσει με μεταπτυχιακό στην Επικοινωνία, έλαβε μέρος σε ένα εκπαιδευτικό πρόγραμμα παραγωγής στη Φλωρεντία. Έχει γράψει ένα ραδιοφωνικό έργο με τίτλο Yüzbirinci Oda (Room 101) που κυκλοφόρησε το 2021. Αυτή την περίοδο εργάζεται ως σκηνοθέτης και εκπαιδευτής, παραδίδοντας μαθήματα κινηματογράφου.
Uygar Erdim was born in Nicosia in 1981. With more than 15 years of experience in television production, he has worked on numerous films, documentaries, music videos, and experimental videos - in various positions. In 2016, after obtaining his master's degree in Media Studies, he attended a training on production in Florence, Italy. He also wrote a radio play called Yüzbirinci Oda (Room 101) and streamed in 2021. He currently works as a freelance filmmaker and educator, giving film lectures.
